Finding a job

Today I attended a lunch-and-learn where a rep from Pacific Dental Services spoke. I know I am only in my first year but some of things he was saying peaked my interest and I think I'm going to start researching out what job opportunities would be best for me.
Here's a little tip I picked up on Student Doctor.net today (posted in 2005):
"as for how to find jobs, i started with the jada listings on the ada website. the job i found, though, i actually got through a newspaper ad. i had passed the wreb and california state boards, so i chose some states i'd be qualified to practice in that i'd consider living in (arizona, california, oregon) and looked at their online newspaper ads for major cities in those states, looking for dentist job listings. there were quite a few. i sent out resumes and cover letters and got interviews that way. another route to go is to call the state dental association and see if they have a resume bank you can submit your cv to for interested dentists to contact you, or if they have a listing of associateship positions. some have good websites, some don't."
